Happy Birthday Mom!

I got to use the cupcake pan again.
I love this picture of my mom as a high school senior.

We celebrated my mother's 60th birthday this weekend.
We had so much fun, but then again everything with my mom is so much fun!
What an amazing mom she is and what a blessing she has been to the world for sixty years.

HE LOVES ME!

Last week I had the privilege of talking with eight junior and senior high girls about God's love. What a blessing that we never have to play the old "He loves me, He loves me not" with God.

Each girl took daisies home as a reminder of God's love.

Lost Pines

We had a great time this weekend at the Hyatt Lost Pines in Bastrop/Austin. I highly recommend it if you get a chance to go. There was so much to do. It is a great place for families. Every night we enjoyed s'mores (as you can see). The weather was perfect and the place was beautiful.

Where I Work

My bisque is in the "kiln room."
My kiln reaches 1836 degrees when firing painted and glazed bisque.

My "kiln room" is next to our garage.

Our home was built in 1940 and at one time this room was a working garage apartment.

Many people ask me where I work and where I keep everything. Well, here is where I keep all of my supplies etc.. I have an extra sink near the washer and dryer with extra storage and countertop space. It works perfectly, but the best part is that it is all behind closing doors.

Chiffoniers

Black Spray Paint

It is amazing what you can do with a can of black spray paint. Labor Day weekend I bought a round table and four chairs at our neighborhood garage sale. They are in the picture on the top, and they were just what I was looking for. I needed something to put all of my fall merchandise on at Feastivities, so I quickly painted the table, distressed it and ran it up there. I also painted the four chairs black and distressed them. They are now in my dining room.

New Natural Life Necklaces

I just received these new Natural Life necklaces. They are wooden, light and unique. I love them! The top picture is the front of the necklace and the bottom picture is the back. I have worn both the cross and heart necklace, and I received numerous compliments on both of them.

Flowers

My geraniums are blooming again and they have survived the baseballs, basketball, football and soccer ball! Our small backyard can't decide whether or not it wants to be a sport court or the secret garden.

Personalized Canvas

I just painted this canvas for a good friend who had her fourth baby. I love these little square canvases because they are so light and easy to ship (much easier than fragile ceramics).

Happy Birthday Greg

I was playing around with the settings on my camera last night and I love the night setting above. I really love the expression on my sweet toothless son.

I was so excited to finally get to use my new cupcake cake pan.
The cake is on our "You Are Special" plate that we received as a wedding gift. I love it! It has the signatures and dates of everyone we have celebrated on the back.

Go Cowboys

The boys said they had a surprise for me on Sunday afternoon, and this is what I found when I walked in the room. I found my favorite Dallas Cowboy fans!

Fall at Feastivities

Well all three boys were at a school and Mother's Day Out yesterday, so I had a chance to run up to Feastivities and unload some fall merchandise. There is a little bit of everything. I have candles, journals, plates, frames, baskets, candy corns and on an on. It feels good to have some of it out of the house. Hopefully I will get a chance to run up to Chiffoniers this weekend. I will keep you posted.

Straws

McKinley's was in need of a new container for their straws, so I went ahead and painted this cannister set for them.

Birthday Candle Charms

I now have multiple colors of birthday candle charms. Again, a customer suggested something and I listened. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. Not everyone is thinking in terms of boy or girl, blue or pink candles. I think I will start doing the cupcake charms in various colors too. For those who want pink or blue, no worries, I still have those too.

Thanksgiving Crosses

I had a special request for a Thanksgiving/Fall cross and I got inspired. As usual I could not stop with one. There are more in the making too.
