I just received a birthday card that I loved and I couldn't throw it away. I wanted to reuse it somehow, so I decided to make some journals. I covered black and white composition books from Staples with scrapbook paper and various other ribbons and trims. I used the birthday card on the journal in the center. I plan on giving the journal to the dear friend who gave me the card. The journal on the left has Psalm 121 on the cover which is the content of the Beth Moore Bible Study I am leading this summer. I plan on giving it to one of the participants. I am using the journal on the right myself. Grab a composition book and get creative. What an inexpensive and fun gift for a friend, teacher, prayer partner etc...3/27/08

As much as I love ceramics, it is so much fun to create something that does not require firing my kiln. I created these pieces using wood, scrapbook paper, upholstery tacks, ink, modge podge, crackle paint, grout, glitter, ribbon, and various other embellishments. They are now available at my space at Chiffoniers.

Dragonfly Dreams Stationery

In addition to painting ceramics and making jewelry, I enjoy drawing as well. I have always wanted to design my own stationery, but for now I am drawing for Dragonfly Dreams. I met the owner several years ago and we just hit it off. She runs an incredible stationery company. I highly recommend you check them out at http://www.dfdreams.com/ If you place an order please click on Sharon Simons as your dragonfly. Thanks!

Turn your child's artwork into a unique piece of jewelry
Simply scan your child's artwork and send it to me. I will then turn it into a soldered charm. These are my son's footprints from a preschool art project. These charms make great grandmother gifts, teacher gifts and of course Mother's Day gifts. The soldered charm is $30 and the crystal beads are $10 per strand.
