We just wrapped up two busy weeks at the church. The boys were in The Music Man on June 19th, 20th and 21st. They had a lot of fun participating in that and we are still singing all of the songs!

Then once that finished we started Vacation Bible School on June 22nd. Our Bible verse for the week was Deuteronomy 6:5. These are the laminated cards that I made for the volunteers.

We had a wonderful week learning about God through the life of Moses.

Needless to say I am behind on Glazed from the Heart orders, but never fear I am going to catch up ASAP! Thanks for your patience!

Hearts

Here are more creations using the leftover wood from the deck.

This was a graduation gift for a super babysitter/friend of ours. I added her initial at the last minute and I am so glad I did. I love personalized gifts.

This was another graduation gift I did for a customer. This is one of my favorite hearts.

Here's another wood chunk creation from the deck that keeps on giving.

Welcome to the Blvd.

What a lovely surprise is was to open my front door and find two new neighbors welcoming us to the neighborhood. What a great idea to paint on a watermelon too.

Ducklings

Believe it or not these pictures were taken in our backyard this morning in our pool/pond.
The boys and I were quite surprised to find these nine sweet ducklings.
You never know what you will find in our backyard!

Goodbye Friends

I just recently had two very good friends move away and these were their parting gifts. I just love the words to the hymn God Be With You, and I had so much fun making the gift above. I also love birds and thought the gift below would be cute in a new home.
Again, I used scraps from our new deck to make both of these gifts.

Antique Ceiling Tile Hearts

I just recently found someone to cut these hearts out of old ceiling tiles for me, and I have loved using them.
The chunks of wood below were leftover scraps from our deck that is in the process of being built. I spray painted them (of course), roughed up the edges with sandpaper and the embellishing began. I love finding a new purpose for trash!

Back and Blogging

I have now come up for air and I am back and ready to blog for the summer.

Here are my three boys.
My oldest son just finished first grade, and we are home for the summer and ready to relax, sleep in, make homemade ice cream, swim, travel to Michigan, attend VBS...

Speaking of VBS, I invite everyone to bring their children to my church's Vacation Bible School.
It is June 22-26. I am actually the VBS chair this summer and I am so excited about it.
You can register online at: www.ahumcvbs.eventbrite.com
I spent this last year studying the life of Moses and I can't wait to spend this summer teaching children about Moses and more importantly about God.

My middle son turned five since I last blogged. We had yet another Star Wars party.

Greg provided the healthy five-banana while I provided the unhealthy yet oh so yummy five cookies!

I wrapped up an incredible first year with my GROW girls in May.

My youngest son has learned to walk and to love chocolate.

We moved into our new house and my mother and I have painted every single room.
I will have to take pictures and post them this summer.

We survived baseball season with two of our three boys playing this year.
The third boy pictured is a friend who might as well be a brother.

All in all, we couldn't be more blessed and it's good to be back in the blogging world again!
