Before and After

I finally decided what to do with the shelves in the bathroom. The doors were taken off before we moved in. In fact, those were the doors that I found in the garage and turned into chalkboards. Anyway, I had a picture that fit perfectly in the top. I hung it with eye hooks and cup hooks. I can store things behind the picture which is so handy. I painted a harlequin pattern on the bottom half and now it is finished.

This and That

The polka dot pumpkin is back. I had forgotten all about it until a friend posted it on her blog. She had gotten it from me several years ago. Hers does not open, but the 2009 version has a lid.
Here is a necklace I recently made. I think I suffer from arts and crafts ADD and addiction. You should see my basement. Ceramics, canvases, beads, wood, soldering, embossing, fabric... I jump from one thing to the next. I must focus!

I worked the pumpkin patch yesterday at church and we were busy. I can't believe that Halloween is already this weekend.

Just some pictures I found last night from my mother's birthday dinner here at the house.

Haute Handbags

I am so excited to be included in another Somerset Publication. I have made several of these fabric flower handbags over the past year. I submitted two to Haute Handbags and here they are in the "spotlight!"

Trunk or Treat

We had Trunk or Treat tonight at church and the boys were tough football players.

Here's our cute little referee!

House for Sale- Open House this Sunday

Now who wouldn't want to buy this house??!!?
Come one come all! This Sunday we are having an open house.
I loved this house and miss many things about it, but we just outgrew it.
Spread the word and check out the link.

This house has great curb appeal!

This was the built-in corner cabinet in the dining room last year. This house has lots of charm and wonderful built-ins.

This was my mantel last year in the living room. I loved this room with all the large windows and natural light.

Somerset Life

I am so excited to report that my embellished bottles were featured in the most recent edition of Somerset Life. This is one of my favorite magazines and I can't believe that I am in it. I love the Somerset Publications. I actually started blogging after purchasing Artful Blogging.

Look What Happens When You Don't Have the Internet

I have had no internet for over a week now and boy did I get a lot accomplished. Rather than sitting and looking at a million blogs I have actually been in the basement creating. Needless to say, I am making up for lost time with all my posts tonight.

I have had these birds for quite awhile now and I am so glad to finally use them. I am also finding lots of ways to use the antique ceiling tile flowers. I love them!

All of these pieces are at The Brownstone.

Custom Plate

I just painted this plate for a sweet friend a couple of weeks ago. It is always fun to try to match the party invitation.

Crosses

I loved making these crosses. I used an old hymnal, modge podge, sandpaper, crackle paint, ink and tons of embellishments. I wrote a Bible verse on the back of each one. They are now at The Brownstone.

Our church pumpkin patch is officially open and I loaded up. These are the pumpkins in my large pots on the front porch.
I love these white, green and gray pumpkins that I got for my fireplace.

This is the house they demolished right behind us. I ran home for lunch one day last week as they were tearing it down and snapped this picture. It was crazy to watch. They are going to build a big new home on this lot. I'll have to post an after picture when they are finished.

Look Who Turned Eight

My oldest turned eight. I can hardly believe it.

I made cake balls for the first time. They were a little harder than I thought but I am ready to try them again. They tasted delicious.

I decorated the table with lots of different eights. I finally made it to Canton this month which is where I got a lot of my eights.

I love what Paul did with his old seven shirt! Pretty clever!

Home Canvas

My talented GROW girls at church made this darling canvas for our Lord's Acre. Each girl designed their own five by five square and each house has their house number on it. I love it!

Pumpkins

I just took these to Brownstone today. I made the flowers out of old sheet music and used moss, lace, fabric and ribbon to embellish the terracotta pots. The first pumpkin was orange but I really liked the stem, so I painted it white and aged it with ink. I am enjoying making these and have more coming!
